Landshare Allotment Scheme

Do you need land to plant vegetables or are waiting for an allotment Plot?

If the answer is yes then we have Garden space available to plant through the Mayfield and Easthouses Landshare Project.

Are you struggling to cope with you garden? Do you have a small part of garden others without gardens can use for planting vegetables?

If the answer is yes, then the Mayfield and Easthouses Landshare project is for you.

Vegetables planted split between garden owner and those without gardens.

MAEDT has begun work on gardens in the community involved with the Landshare project.  The lanshare project aims to match up those unable to manage their garden or those who have spare plot in their garden with volunteers who are waiting for allotment plots or have no plot to plant vegetables. The garden owner and the volunteer will share a percentage of the produce and both parties will sign a landshare agreement.  Any excess vegetables from the Landshare scheme will be sold to the community at an affordable price and proceeds put back into the project to allow others to benefit from home grown food.
